Stemming
from his public sculptures, Lipsitt's current work includes
towers and "ancestor columns" of varying sizes and
spatial complexities. These hammered-sheet and bent bar works,
both linear and volumetric, are figurative metaphors in steel
and bronze. A Brandeis University graduate, he attended the
Skowhegan School and received his MFA from Yale University.
