Beatty's
sculptural works explore form as an intersection of the systematic
and the sensuous. Using wood and steel, he constructs objects
that are both familiar and enigmatic. This implied ambiguity
allows the work to become visual evidence of that which is known
and felt, yet beyond the conventions of language. A graduate
of Massachusetts College of Art, Beatty recently completed two
public art installations in the Boston area. He is also represented
by the Barbara Krakow Gallery, Boston, Ma.
